The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee announced that they will be posting online with free public access its Poland collection from 1945-1949. This collection was confiscated by the Communist Authorities. The collection documents the JDCs efforts to assist holocaust survivors following the holocaust.

The JDC (Jewish American Joint Distribution Committee) has an extraordinary names database concerning Jews Russia, Poland, Galicia, Holland, Hungary etc having been in contact with the JDC, covering the years 1915 through post WWII . Some of their lists are now online, downloadable in pdf format and the pdf document is searchable .
